Hundreds of Microsoft Team users report technical issues

Hundreds of Microsoft Team users reported technical issues with the company’s messaging applications in the workplace on Wednesday.

There are approximately 840 reports of technical issues with Microsoft Teams, According to Downdetector. Seventy percent of the reported problems are related to the server connection.

Microsoft tell Reuters that the problems with its platform only affect the United States and that most reports have been delayed.

“We are working to confirm our findings while exploring the optimal solution to restore the impact,” Microsoft said.

It is not clear whether the problem is isolated in specific areas in the US and whether it is a nationwide issue.

This is not the first time that an online platform used for work has had technical problems during the pandemic.

In January, there were widespread Verizon internet outages on the east coast that affected thousands of users and caused other online services such as Google, YouTube and Slack to have problems.

Technical problems with online workspaces are exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic, as many office buildings are still closed and people are forced to work from home and rely on online workspaces.
