Disney’s Hulu’s Introduces Colleagues with a New Offer: The Streamer Has Introduced A Special Plan With Reduced Rates For American University Students That Cost $ 1.99 Per Month.
From Monday (January 11), qualifying students over the age of 18 can sign up for the deal and watch Hulu’s full library of movies and TV shows (with commercials) for $ 2 monthly. This is a 67% discount on the regular price of $ 5.99.
According to Hulu, the student accounts provide access to two simultaneous streams, just like Hulu’s regular levels.
Hulu is betting that the course plan for university students will yield increasing profits for subscribers as it continues to gain momentum under Disney’s wing. On top of that, the hope is that the promotion will develop a base of younger Hulu customers – who will retain the service long after they graduate. At Disney’s Investors Day in December, the media company said that as of December 2, Hulu has 38.8 million subscribers, including more than 4.1 million live TV customers. This is 28% higher than the total of 30.4 million at the end of 2019.
Hulu works in partnership with the verification firm SheerID, located in Ore, to confirm whether subscribers are eligible for the special transaction. According to SheerID, users submit information in a form and the company compares it to “selected authoritative data sources” to determine if they are eligible for a given promotion.
Hulu’s ad-supported plan provides unlimited on-demand access to thousands of TV shows and movies, including “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”, “The Bachelor”, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and “Family Man” . ”The original range of the service includes ‘Pen15’, ‘Little Fires Everywhere’, ‘Ramy’, ‘Animaniacs’ and ‘Solar Opposites’.
