How to Watch the Times Square Ball Drop on New Year’s Eve 2020

How to see the ball fall in a year that dropped the ball.

Times Square will unfortunately be closed to the public tonight due to coronavirus problems, which is the first time the country has been empty on New Year’s Eve since 1907.

This does not mean, however, that NYE revealers will not have a ball: the iconic sphere will still fall at midnight as part of a broadcast event.

How to watch the live stream

The world can witness the annual NYE spectacle from the home of New York by tuning in to a six-hour commercial free webcast hosted by the official co-organizers of Times Square New Year’s Eve Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment.

The virtual ball fall ceremony will again be hosted by Jonathan Bennett and will feature Jennifer Lopez, Cyndi Lauper, Jimmie Allen, Machine Gun Kelly, Andra Day, Gloria Gaynor, the USO Show Troupe and the Waffle Crew.

The Times Square 2021 webcast will be in line with the COVID-19 precautionary measures for the public and not according to New York State health protocols.

The annual meeting starts at 18:00 and ends at 12:15

Viewers can stream the balloon coverage live on TimesSquareNYC.org, NewYearsEve.nyc, Livestream.com/2021, TimesSquareBall.net and via Facebook Live.
