The Pokémon Company will announce fresh Pokémon news on Friday, February 26, during a Pokémon Presents live stream. The show starts at 10:00 EST / 07:00 PST, and you can watch it live via YouTube here or on Twitch. Today’s Pokémon Presents are expected to last about 20 minutes.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, which launched in 1996 with Pokémon Red and Blue. The Pokémon Company has not yet said exactly what it will announce during the Pokémon Presents video, but expects many memories of Pokémon’s big birthday – and probably some game announcements.
Many fans are hoping for a remake of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. These two games were originally released in Japan in 2006 but had a wider version in 2007. This is the 15th anniversary of the games this year, so a remake will be very timely. But the Pokémon Company has had enough on its announced lead, including Pokémon united, Pokemon sleep, and continuous updates for Pokémon Go.
This Saturday is ‘Pokémon Day’, which includes a virtual concert with musician Post Malone.
