How to watch: Place Malone at the Pokémon Day Virtual Concert on Saturday

February 27 is Pokémon Day, it’s been 25 years since Pokémon Red and Green came out in Japan, and rapper Post Malone is hosting a virtual concert to celebrate the anniversary. It starts at 16:00 PT Saturday (19:00 ET / 12:00 Sunday GMT / 10:00 Sunday AEST) and is embedded below as soon as it is available. We got a taste on Thursday with Malone’s cover of Hootie and the Blowfish’s 90s classic Only Wanna Be With You.

Enjoy for now the trailer in which the musician undergoes a terrific CGI transformation.

If YouTube is not your first choice of a virtual concert venue, the concert will also be broadcast live on Twitch. The official Pokemon site will also feature the concert. Katy Perry will take part in another “P25” musical event.

The Pokemon Company also unveiled some important new games for Nintendo Switch in a Live Friday: Pokémon Brilliant diamond and shiny pearl coming out later this year, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus arrives early in 2022. New Pokémon Snap, which appeared on April 30, also received a fresh trailer.
