How to skip Monster Hunter Rise’s awkward ‘Quest Complete’ Cutscenes

Just “hanging out” lol.

Once you are comfortable with the basics of Monster Hunter Rise, the real game to grind out scarce materials for high-level equipment, can finally begin. Although one usually has to wait through a cut every time they complete a mission, players can skip a short vignette to reduce the standstill between hunts.

I was made aware of this trick by fighting the match competitor Zerpin, but the secret spreads rapidly within the Monster Hunter community to Stand upThe release on March 26th. The technique involves hanging the new Wirebug mechanic in the air while the quest comes to an end, which for some reason causes it to bypass the scene after the mission.

In the video above I show how search usually ends and then demonstrate the easiest way to use the Wirebug trick. While in the air – by jumping from a height or zipping through the air with ZL + X – your hunter will press the A button for a few seconds when you press the A button. Fortunately, this window is fairly generous, so it should be easy to take advantage of even after search that ends with a countdown, as long as you lower the timing.

People on the Monster Hunter subreddit noted that the cutscene could not play also in other situations, such as when the player runs up against a wall, is struck by an explosion or the paralyzed and sleeping conditions are applied.

Monster Hunter Rise is a fun, new addition to the long-term franchise, and this trick should help a lot to make it even more entertaining for those equipped with end equipment. Some of the missions that end with the mission are related to your companions – cat and dog breeds, Felynes and Canynes, respectively – you may not have to neglect them every time you do a quest.
