How to redeem modern warfare dual XP tokens in Black Ops Cold War

Treyarch has confirmed plans to bring Final Killcams back in Black Ops Cold War, if only for the Search & Destroy playlists, after months of Call of Duty fans begging to make the match-ending replays at the 2020 title gain.

Call of Duty has always seemed with its year titles to evolve and has spread features – both popular and unpopular – in an effort to keep the juggernaut’s FPS franchise ‘fresh’.

In Black Ops 4, Treyarch called for the ever-popular Final Killcam. Instead, they introduced a new “Best Play” iteration. While many enjoyed the swap, Search & Destroy fans were, to say the least, less than satisfied.

The Search & Destroy community believes that Final Killcams’perfectFor their preferred game mode, and we tend to agree; ‘SND’ is about the one-on-one duel and flashy last plays. It makes sense to show them about anything else.

Fortunately, it seems that Treyarch has finally decided to make a change.

Treyarch is “ready” to add Final Killcams again

Starting in early 2021, all search and destructive portals in Black Ops Cold War will implement a ‘hybrid system’ that will choose which game-end version is displayed. This will include both the “best plays” and the iconic Final Killcams.

“We have a design ready for a ‘hybrid system’ that will play the best Play of Final Killcam, depending on what ends the round,” confirmed Matty Scronce, chief designer at Treyarch. Twitter on Thursday, December 31st.

Scronce added that there is ‘no ETA’ when sent to live servers. It will first be implemented “before we go back to our break,” he said.

Considering Scronce has confirmed that the system is ‘ready’, Search & Destroy fans will probably not wait long. Treyarch is expected in early January; this means that a new update of the Cold War of Black Ops should not be far behind.

Dexerto expects this new ‘hybrid system’ to be included in the patch.

While Treyarch trusts the way the game-end version works in Search & Destroy, there are no other Black Ops Cold Play playlists yet. This probably means that the other modes of the title will stay with the “Best Play” reruns for now.

We will keep you informed if these plans change at some point in the future.
