Note: If you want to avoid spoilers or prefer not to use a step-by-step guide, we can confirm that achieving 70% friendship is not necessarily difficult and that it can be achieved if you remain friendly through Johnny, avoid the take any Omega blockers, and make some important choices during the Chippin ‘In update.
How to find Johnny’s friendship stats
To find Johnny’s friendship stats, open the menu by pressing Touchpad on PlayStation, I on the keyboard or View on Xbox.
As the menu opens, you will find three large icons at the top of the screen. The middle icon shows the percentage of your relationship with Johnny. You can move over the icon to learn even more information.
Is 70% friendship needed to unlock the secret ending
In short, no, you do not have to reach 70% friendship to unlock the secret ending. The only requirement to unlock the secret ending is to simply choose the correct answers during the Chippin ‘In Major update. If you follow the dialogue options below, you will be able to unlock the secret ending without reaching a maximum friendship with Johnny.

- “Let’s do something about it.” Note that you enter Johnny’s initials when asked.
- “The man who saved my life”
- “Nah, fuck too.”
- “What do you want from me?”
- “OK. But as the second chance goes, it’s your last.”
- “You were a real dick in the beginning.”
- “When you say you let your friends down …”
- “Yes, I’ll call Rogue.”

How to get your relationship with Johnny up to 70%
These next missions give everyone a chance to increase Johnny’s friendship. The exact value that each mission offers is also shown below.

Chippin ‘In is one of the few important updates with several important decisions and consequences. The first list of choices comes out during Johnny’s night, and the second during the conversation that takes place at the Oil Fields.
Evening off:
- Tequila old-fashioned. (The Silverhand Special)
- The other.

These cheats and mods can help you reach 70%
Before we proceed, it is important to note that the following mods and cheats are offered by a third party and are in no way affiliated with CD Project Red. By using these mods, you are well aware of the risks involved.
If you’m still struggling to reach Johnny’s 70% friendship or simply do not want to reload to a previous saving to correct a dialog choice, you can choose to download a mod that allows you to change Johnny’s friendship value.
Unfortunately, it is worth mentioning that the mod is only available to those on a computer.
The mod in question is now called Cyber Engine Tweaks and is being created by the people at the CP77 Modding Tools controversy. If you are interested in downloading the mod, then simply go to the Cybermods Wiki Page.
After downloading the mod, follow the step-by-step instructions on your website and start your save file. While the game is in progress, press ~ to open the command box and paste the following code into the text box “Game.SetDebugFact (” sq032_johnny_friend “, 1)”.
That’s it, it’s that simple, since you’ll unlock the secret ending now.
