How to get a chance now

If you’ve been waiting for the COVID-19 vaccination to be easier to find in Michigan, this is your time.

This week, the supply of vaccines has increased and appointments are available at clinics across the state, as well as through several walk-in clinics available to Michigan residents.

On April 21, 45.6% of adults in Michigan received one vaccine dose, while 31.5% were fully vaccinated. About 63% of the age group 65 and older are fully vaccinated.

Here are your best options for finding a COVID-19 vaccine appointment:

More and more vaccine clinics are opening, especially in Metro Detroit.

Wayne County residents three boarding clinics are open from Monday to Saturday, in Taylor, Belleville and Flat Rock. Residents and workers can still schedule a vaccination appointment at the Wayne County Health Department by calling 866-610-3885.

There are also walk-in clinics in Dearborn, St. Clair County, Calhoun County, Bay County, Lansing, Saginaw and others, depending on the day. We follow the latest in our live blog here.

The largest pharmacies in the chain are available throughout the country, including Metro Detroit.

Also consult your local independent pharmacies, such as Ray’s Drugs in Livonia, Clawson Care in Clawson or Royals Pharmacy in Ferndale. Many have vaccine provision, and some enter.

If you are a patient with a hospital system, you can probably book an appointment in your account right away, maybe MyChart.

But if not, you can still book appointments. Ascension Michigan offers appointments to all residents 16 and up in Southfield. Henry Ford Health offers appointments to all residents aged 16+ at their clinics in Detroit, Jackson, Wyandotte and Troy.

  • Beaumont presents run-in vaccines on April 22 for anyone from the age of 16 you do not have to be patient. (Beaumont Service Center, 26901 Beaumont Blvd. in Southfield from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.)

Most local health departments have open clinics this week or next week, with appointments for residents and workers.
