How to delete your WhatsApp account:
There is only one way to skin this cat, and you will need your phone to do this. You can not get rid of your WhatsApp account with the web application – we tried. On the bright side, it should only take a minute, and you do not have to give too much justification as to why you want to leave. Follow these steps:
- Open WhatsApp on your phone.
- Tap on the three dots right bo. This opens a small menu with options.
- Choose Institutions in the menu.
- Go in the Account part of the settings menu. You will find Account right below your name at the top of the screen. Your first two menus will look like this:

- Search the Delete my account option at the bottom of the list and tap on it.
- Enter your phone number and tap on the red Delete my account button.
- Indicate why you are removing your account from the menu, then tap on the red Delete my account button.
- Tap on the red Delete my account button one last time. Here’s what your last three menus should look like:

And voila, no WhatsApp account for you anymore. Like we said, it was not too painful to do. You need to confirm that you really want to delete your WhatsApp account a few times, but that may not be bad. It helps to emphasize that you will not get this account back in the future. Once your account is over and you return to the login page, it’s for good.
