One of Chrome’s best features for staying organized comes with Android: the almighty “tab groups,“which let you set up tabs in more useful pieces than random sprinkle them over your browser – or, on your phone, on separate pages. However, you may need to enable a semi-hidden flag in your browser to access this useful feature today.
To get started, make sure you have the latest version of Chrome on your Android device can be updated via the Google Play Store. Dan, launch the browser and enter it in the address bar: chrome://flags
You will be taken to a screen that looks like this:
Do a quick search for ‘Tab Schedule’, tap on the menu for the Tab Schedule Layout flag, and select the usual “Connected” option. Restart Chrome and tap the box to the right of your address bar to open some new tabs. You immediately see that they are now organized a grid layout, instead of displaying pages that sit on top of each other.

How do you group these tabs? It’s easy. Simply push one up and drag it over another. Rrepeat the process of adding more tabs to your tab group:
You can also use the group itself and use the “+” icon to add new tabs as you see fit. To group multiple tabs simultaneously without pressing each one separately, tap the triple dot icon in the upper right corner of this screen and select the new one Group tabs option. You can then just tap on all the free tabs you want to arrange in a group and then on the Group to make them new friends.
Finally, if you long press on any hyperlink in a normal Chrome windows, you will see the option to open the new tab in a group:
Tap on it, and the original page you were viewing is now grouped with the new link you’ve long pressed, and you’ll see Chrome browser icons for both at the bottom. This is the easy way to navigate between tabs in your group, and you can also use the “+” right to quickly add more tabs.
Of course, if you do not like the grid layout or the tab groups, you can turn off the feature again same use Tab Schedule Layout flag as before. Simply set it to “off”, then your browser will return as before – for the time being.
