How they shot Bridgerton’s sex scenes

“We worked very hard to make them feel real.”

WARNING: This post contains spoilers for Bridgerton.

The show gets pretty dumb as the first season progresses, as you probably noticed – and the actors Phoebe Dynevor (who plays Daphne) and Regé-Jean Page (who plays Simon) have the beans to E! News about their experience with filming Bridgertonse sekstonele.

“I feel really proud of those scenes,” Dynevor said when discussing work on the set with an intimacy coordinator who made the scenes feel like they were complicated tricks: “We worked really hard to make them feel real. “

“We were very well prepared,” Page added. ‘We had dance lessons, writing lessons – essentially a lot of time in each other’s arms before we even hit the set.

‘And once you spent so many hours with someone on the dance floor, were close to someone, literally caught each other when you fell – and we did not fall because we were not brilliant dancers – then a lot of it happened quite organically. ‘

“It’s so important for the characters’ journey to see those scenes,” Dynevor continued. “They’re not just there to be there. They’re there to tell this story of this kind of sexual awakening that Daphne is experiencing, and I think that’s especially important to her story.”

Showrunner Chris Van Dusen also briefed the BTS details: “We had a lot of conversations about exactly what we did. It was all so that the cast would feel comfortable, and we all really left it in their hands to take the scenes. “because as far as they wanted to take it.”

“These scenes are heavily choreographed, like an action sequence, like ‘Your hand goes here, your leg goes there’. They’re all really, really rehearsed.”

There is still no answer in the interview to everyone’s question (will it be renewed?!?), But in the meantime, it’s more than interesting to get some BTS deets after you finish the season.
