Call of Duty: Warzone has its one-year existence, and while we do not know what the future holds, we have put together the five best things we want to see in the second year of Warzone.
Call of Duty: Warzone was released on March 10, 2020 and took the world by storm. Over the course of the first year, we’ve seen the Cold War unfold during a live event, Zombies invade Verdansk, and Black Ops Cold War and Warzone are fully integrated – bringing all Cold War weapons and operators, and the progress bound for the first time. time.
Raven Software and Activision are undoubtedly planning a lot of exciting things for Warzone’s second year. In anticipation, we have compiled a wish list of the five best things we want to see in Warzone Year 2.
5. Regular weapon balance changes
Overall, Warzone was very good at shifting the meta between seasons. However, when some guns shine wildly over the rest, it feels like there are only a few viable weapons at stake.
Shortly after the integration between the Cold War and Warzone, the DMR 14 and the Diamattis rendered every other weapon useless. It waited a few weeks until the weapons would nerf so we could use other guns.

To combat this, we would like to see weapons change regularly depending on the seasons. Some weapons are completely useless in Warzone, so if you let these subversive weapons rise to the top of the pack, Warzone will keep you excited and fresh.
4. More Black Ops Cold War Content
Black Ops Cold War has an abundance of lands and field upgrades that are very suitable for Warzone. We’ve been using the Cluster Strike and Airstrike for a year now, so it’s going to be refreshing to upgrade the available items.

Preventing bumps in the last circle with the Napalm Strike, or removing enemy UAVs and Scorestreaks with an Air Patrol, will really shake up the game.
Devs can also trade the more ‘broken’ field upgrades in Warzone, Stopping Power Rounds and Dead Silence for any of the Black Ops Cold War. This would take away one of Warzone’s more frustrating elements, and at the same time give new toys to players to play with.
3. New Warzone Map and frequent changes to it
It is anything but confirmed that during the Warzone Year 2 we will at some point play a battle royally in the Ural Mountains. We can not ignore the fact that a new map is the breath of life that Warzone needs, but it is a given that it is going to come.

What we would like to see, if Warzone has moved to this new map, there are frequent changes to it. Fortnite and Apex Legends keep their maps fresh by changing, adding and removing locations regularly. Although Verdansk changed somewhat during the first year, the community would greatly appreciate more of these additions.
If you trade less visited places for classic maps, or to revamp areas through live events, Warzone will be lively and exciting.
Next generation version of Warzone for consoles
Unfortunately, the console version of Warzone has a significant hardware disadvantage of gamers compared to those that play on modern computers. They can not adjust graphics settings, reach high FPS or the long requested FOV slider.

The Xbox Series X | However, S and PlayStation 5 can easily deliver high frame rates and beautiful images in Warzone. It would be a crime for Warzone not to harness the power behind these consoles, which is why we want to see a new version of CoD’s Battle Royale using the advanced hardware of the new consoles.
With a following version of Warzone for consoles, we would like to see:
- Updated footage
- High frame rate
- FOV slider
Black Ops Cold War has an FOV move on consoles, so it makes sense that Warzone should have one as well. It is likely that a next generation version of Warzone is underway, and with these features, console and computer players will be on a much more level playing field.
1. More live events within Warzone
Fortnite has hosted expert live events that bring the entire community together, and many players want to see something similar in Call of Duty.
The release of Black Ops Cold War in Warzone was a highlight of year 1, and if Warzone had more such events, there would be even more reasons for Warzone players to return to the game.

Warzone, Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare have a connected story. Seasons ending with live events progressing this story will be a great time for the community to shoot at each other for a moment and get together to enjoy the latest developments in Warzone.
With the disappearance of Verdansk, we can expect an insane direct farewell to the original Warzone map. Hopefully this live event will be a success, and Activision feels it’s worth putting more of this into play.
To sum up, we want to see that Raven Software and Activision really make use of everything that makes Warzone great. At the end of Year 1, Call of Duty’s Battle Royale is in a great place, but if we could see these five things within Warzone Year 2, the game would be even better.
