How Robin Wright spends his time during the pandemic

Robin Wright uses her extra time at home in the midst of the pandemic to spice up her film knowledge.

“I think my guilty pleasure in releasing the days is to go to bed and watch a movie on Criterion Channel,” Wright, 54, said Friday during The Cut’s virtual panel “How I Get It Done “at the Sundance Film Festival said. “There are so many movies I have not seen before, and I have realized that I see old movies that you can not find anywhere else.”

Wright, who premiered “Land” at the festival, noted that Alfred Hitchcock’s 1956 film “The Man Who Knew Too Much” really left a mark on her.

“What a wonderful movie, and you also see how everyone steals a little bit of this person from this person,” she said laughing. ‘… It’s so trippy to watch these movies from the 1940s and go:’ Oh my God, now I see where the director got the idea. ”

Actress and director Zoe Lister-Jones, who debuted at the festival ‘How It Ends’ and also took part in the chat, said she catches up with iconic programs and films she has never been able to see.

“I also watch so much content because it’s the thing to do,” she joked, adding that she had watched ‘The Sopranos’ in full.

“I enjoyed writing creative non-fiction about my childhood,” she added about her stalemate in the pandemic. ‘It’s like doing a diary, but telling the story of yourself. I found it an interesting exercise and practice to analyze things in a new way about how I got here. ‘
