CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Browns need to improve their pace and a fairly good pace rest has only just hit the market for free agencies. The Texans and defensive line JJ Watt have agreed to part ways and Watt was officially released on Friday.
Watt has an injury history and he’s not the long-term answer, but he can definitely pick a bridge to a draft and can help the Browns have a bit of flexibility in the years to come.
Watt is not the player who cleared the defense of the awards for Player of the Year – the player who tormented the Browns in 2014 when they tried to return to the playoffs – but he is still an effective passer who would benefit from playing. on the other side of Myles Garrett. Garrett will of course also benefit from a pass roster like Watt.
Mary Kay Cabot, Ellis Williams and I talked all about Watt and whether the Browns should sign him. Listen using the player below or click here to listen if you do not see the player.
