How do Patriots fans feel about the success of Tom Brady?

USA TODAY Sports

Tom Brady did not leave the Patriots for a division competitor, but for a team in the other conference. A team that plays the Patriots once every four years. A team currently making a Super Bowl run in a season that did not result in New England qualifying for the playoffs.

So what do Patriots fans think of Brady’s success with the Buccaneers? Tom Curran of NBC Sports Boston joined on Tuesday PFT PM to discuss it and other topics.

As Curran explained it, the question depends on whether a given fan is primarily loyal to Brady or to Patriots coach Bill Belichick. But this is indisputable: as Curran noted, Brady has won two playoff games without Belichick, and Belichick has won just one playoff game without Brady.

Curran also addressed where Belichick falls on a spectrum that has Belichick in a TB12 jersey on one side and a pin in a Brady voodoo doll on the other.

Spoilage: Belichick is much closer to the witch doctor than fanboy.
