HOUSTON Houston police responded to officials at Galleria Mall on Saturday afternoon.
Police said people were running around in the Galleria, which is located at 5100 Westheimer Road. The incident happened near the Macys, police said.
According to Twitter users, there was a possible shooting in the mall.
About an hour later, HPD said there was no confirmation of a shooting, and according to no city official on Twitter, no victims were accounted for.
I just spoke to a public information officer from the Houston Police Department. There is no confirmation of a shooting. No account was taken of the victims. They’re still talking to people, but that could be a false report. We will wait and see.

It is unclear if anyone was injured or what led to the shooting.
