Recently, I spend at least an hour playing Hot Wheels with my four-year-old child every day. This is one of the games I enjoy playing with him the most, so much so that last week I spent £ 50 and bought another track, a new car launcher and an amplifier speeding it up.
So Wheels Unleashed, a newly announced Hot Wheel racing game, got my attention.
None of it is real footage, but it’s basically Trackmania, right? Cars go fast, tracks turn and loop-de-loop, and you can build your own tracks.
Where perhaps the most different is that the tracks zoom in through the real world’s places in search of the toys, so your backgrounds will be tables and living room floors. In this regard, it is more reminiscent of the old Micro Machines games. Most of them were developed by Codemasters, and are therefore presumably now owned by EA.
It is developed by Milestone Games, the makers of other racing series such as MotoGP and Ride. It gives me hope that Hot Wheels Unleashed will be better than other games with the license, which focused on mobile platforms, or were simply poorly rated.
Update! Earn the past £ 60 on Hot Wheels. In the press release for the game, it is noted that ‘Hot Wheels Singles range’ is recognized as the best selling toy of 2020, worldwide. So I went to Amazon and bought it. I need more new cars because a lot of the cars we have are slightly broken, and my child does not let me get the good ones when we play. I keep losing our races, and I taught him to do a very unpleasant dance when he wins.
Now I will take my revenge. Hot Wheels Unleashed appears on September 30th.
