According to a recent advertisement, Horizon Forbidden West wants to aim for ‘release’ late in 2021.
Just below you can see a screenshot of an ad on Instagram for the PS5 (via VideoGamesChronicle). At the very bottom of the screen are the small print that Horizon Forbidden West will be released in ‘late’ 2021 ‘, while other games like Returnal and Ghostwire: Tokyo have outlined their respective release windows.
Other advertising material for the PS5 also suggests that the expected sequel to Guerilla is coming in the second half of 2021. IGN has released a trailer for a new PS5 game, including Horizon Forbidden West, which is “second expected” in the lower case. half of 2021. “
Although there is no release date for the sequel yet, it is only the latest in a collection of information indicating a release date. Just last week, PlayStation boss Jim Ryan said he ‘feels very good’ about the fact that Guerilla’s game is on track this year. Shortly afterwards, a story-teller claims that the sequel has been delayed until 2022, but the recent statement from Ryan and PlayStation ads apparently contradicts this.
What we do know is that Horizon Forbidden West will launch on both the PS4 and PS5. We also know that the sequel will take Aloy to the ruins of California, where she will face a slew of new robotic enemies and meet new allies throughout the region.
