Hori’s Monster Hunter Rise Split Pad Pro gets a Western release next month

You may recall that Hori, the manufacturer of accessories, revealed last month that he had a Monster Hunter Rise edition of their popular Split Pad Pro controller. Previously, it was only confirmed for Japan, but a new Amazon listing tells us that it will be launched in North America on April 26th.

The Split Pad Pro costs only $ 59.99 and is only used in manual mode, but offers a great alternative for gamers who find Nintendo’s standard Joy-Con a bit. also small. There are also a few additional buttons on the back of the controllers (which can be assigned to any other buttons) and a turbo function.

Here is the official product description:

Hunters can act to locate and defeat monsters with the special edition Nintendo Switch Split Pad Pro (Monster Hunter). Experience the full-size controller experience in manual mode with full-size analog sticks, precise d-pads and large shoulder buttons. Designed for convenience and accuracy, even during marathon hunting sessions.

Advanced features include pointable rear triggers, turbo functional, and more for complex attacks and missions. Ideal for fast-paced RPG titles like Monster Hunter Rise and many other genres. Enhance your gaming experience with the Split Pad Pro! Officially licensed by Nintendo and Capcom.

(Not a wireless controller – Manual mode only. Does not include motion control, HD Rumble, NFC or IR camera. Note: If you experience problems with the Switch recognizing the Split Pad Pro, make sure that all Joy-Con is off and not connected via Bluetooth.)

Rise’s Split Pad Pro does not appear to be available in Europe yet, though you can still find previous options – including black, red and Pikachu variants.

We are now four days away from the launch of Monster Hunter Rise, so if you would like another copy (and the Amiibo), you can order our preview.
