NANCY PELOSI: We will start working on the details of the accounts on Monday. Hopefully we will send something to the Senate within two weeks. At the moment, we are like a laser focused on doing so.
It’s about crushing the virus. It’s about honoring our heroes, our people who work on it. It’s about putting money into the American people. In a matter of more than – less than two weeks, I hope, but around that time we hope to be able to put vaccinations in people’s arms, money in people’s pockets, children safe in schools and workers in their jobs.
The president was based on his usual values, informed knowledge and strategic thinking in his presentation. It was a joy to hear his commitment to the needs of the American people, as we are all open to duality, yet interested in achieving results as soon as possible. And our hope would be that we would have two parties. I think a reconciliation bill is needed so we know we will get – guarantee that we will have results and hopefully give some leverage with the Republicans. I hope we can work together.
