Hollywood residents had a real cow on Friday when the iconic sign of the hill in Los Angeles was vandalized for the second time this year.
Three men in their twenties were arrested after allegedly defaming the beacon by placing a cow’s head over the first ‘O’, reports the LA Times, citing police sources.
Six people were arrested in February after altering the sign “Hollyboob”, including adult publisher “Shag Mag” Julia Rose, according to reports.
The cow’s prank was possibly an advertising festival by local band Junior Varsity, TMZ reports.
The group recently posted their first single, “Cold Blood,” with a cow on the cover, while their social media people said, “Look for the signs,” TMZ remarked.
“It’s really unfortunate that people want to make a statement across the board,” Mark Panatier, chairman of the Hollywood Sign Trust, told the LA Times.
The names of the men have not yet been released. According to police, they will be booked for offense.
