Hitman 3 was only a few weeks out, but it seems like IO Interactive is not done with his World of Assassination trilogy yet. According to executive producer Forest Swartout Large, in and interview with The Gamer, Hitman 3 probably get new missions in the future.
Large says the IO team is always looking to the future, and in this case it means more missions Hitman 3. But at the moment, it does not seem to mean more places. On the contrary, Big and the team seem to be focusing more on elusive targets or escalation missions, and maybe even a few twists on classic levels from the recent trilogy of games.
“We’re definitely going to do DLC, but we haven’t figured out what it is,” Large says. “I think for now we are not looking at new maps like the bank and the island.”
By naming the bank and the island, Large brings two of Hitman 2‘s best levels, and although it looks like we will not find new places Hitman 3, we can get new versions of old maps and missions.
‘We are looking more at using existing locations and re-imagining and distorting them. And this time we can use the whole trilogy, ‘says Large. ‘We can look back on Hitman 2016 cards, Hitman 2 maps – we have all the locations. ”
Of course new content for Hitman 3 is currently not the only thing IO Interactive is working on. Last year, the studio announced that it was also working on a James Bond game, which is a perfect fit for the studio, although we do not have any details about the game yet.
