CHICAGO (WLS) – Three Illinois Department of Transportation employees were injured early Thursday morning in a hit-and-run accident on Kennedy Highway, Illinois police said.

Police said the crash happened at about 1:40 a.m. on the inside of the Kennedy in Harlem Avenue, near the Northwest Side Norwood Park area. The IDOT workers put out cones for locking and were inside their work vehicle with flashing lights, according to police, when they were stopped by a driver in a gray car afterwards.
