Hilary Duff reveals about how it felt ‘really hard’ to film the last season of Younger
Hilary Duff said she was emotional about filming the end of her Younger series.
“Honestly, it’s heavy, it feels really heavy,” the 33-year-old star told Brooke Baldwin, filling in on Ellen Friday. “All the people in the show show where a family and we have been through so much, you know make children, marriages, divorces.”
The Houston resident added, “Our characters have grown so much that we have all grown as a family.”
The latest: Hilary Duff, 33, said she was emotional about filming the end of her series Younger in a remote appearance on the Friday issue of Ellen.
Duff said it was ‘strange’ to separate from the cast and crew in the rom-com series, which starred alongside Sutton Foster, Miriam Shor and Hilary Duff.
“I know I’m going to see them again, but it’s weird. ‘I have all my other jobs seven years of my life based on the four months I was in New York with the people in the crew,’ ‘she said. . “Honestly the crew who were so emotional, it was like I did not know when I would see them again.”
Last September, Darren Star, creator of the show, told TVLine that the seventh season of the show was “unofficially” planned as his last.
The production of the sixth season of the show was done in September 2019, and the coronavirus pandemic stopped production from the seven seasons until last fall.

Star said the COVID-19 pandemic is likely to be integrated into the program’s seventh season.
“The action of the younger kind is taking place where the last season left off, before the pandemic,” Star said. “But I think we’re looking forward to putting it into action as the season progresses.”
Duff is currently expecting her third child – she is the mother of daughter Banks, two, with husband Matthew Koma, and eight-year-old son, Luca, with ex-husband Mike Comrie.
In the episode, Duff said she wrote down her latest children’s book, My Little Brave Girl, in the Notes app on her phone, and it began with the time frame that inspired the material.

‘Yes, in the notes [app] from my phone, actually, ‘she said. ‘I’m going back to work and I had a very colic baby, so Banks was very attached to me and … not even four months after the birth,’ she said. ‘I’m back to work and 16, 17 hours a day on the set is really not a great place for a baby, so lots of growing pains and learning how to separate … it’s hard to let go . ‘
She said she appreciated Banks’ courage in rebounding the baby as a result of a struggle with the fact that she was not with her mother as much as she wanted in feeding the child.
“It inspired this book,” she adds, noting that she was holding her daughter as she wrote it.
