Hilaria Baldwin always wanted to be Spanish: ex-dance partner

Hilaria Baldwin has always been a Spanish wannabe – but she really put her foot in her mouth when she changed her name from Hillary, her old dance partner says.

“The whole ‘Hilaria’ thing is hilarious to me,” Alexander Rechits, who danced competitively with the now-fought yoga bow from 2006 to 2009, told the New York Times.

Rechits, who knew the 36-year-old American wife of actor Alec Baldwin by her first name Hillary Hayward-Thomas, said it was already clear she wanted to portray herself as something she was not.

“I understand why she did it,” Rechits said in an interview published Wednesday, adding that he considers Hilaria sweet and talented.

“It was always her desire to be considered Spanish,” he said.

“She has roots in Spain, her brother lived there, and she visited a lot there,” he said, referring to the fact that Hilaria’s parents now live in Mallorca and her family would travel to Spain after her childhood.

“But Hillary is a very good name, so why would you change it if you were born here and not born in Spain?” born Belarus.

“I have a lot of nicknames in Russian. But I’m still Alexander everywhere I go. ”

Hilaria, who has no Spanish descent, was under fire for allegedly misrepresenting herself as Spanish – and repeatedly publicly referring to Spain as her ‘home’, and sometimes adopted a bad Spanish accent and not many publications corrected and even one of her officials webbios who falsely said she was born in Mallorca.

For her wedding to Alec in 2012, she wore a traditional white Spanish mantilla veil and a flamenco fan with her groom at an altar in the St. Miguel.

The lifestyle influencer had to go to social media over the weekend to admit that she is a “white girl” born in Boston, named Hillary and going to high school in Massachusetts.
