Almost every ad I see on TikTok is for this video game to run in comic high heels. High heels! is inevitable – so I’ll download it this afternoon. The only interruption I took to play it is to write this blog. I’m trapped in high heels jail and am surrounded by ads for video games about makeup.
I watched my heels get so ridiculously high that my character – I play as a hitman Agent 47 from Hitman, complete with the barcode neck tattoo – was pushed off the screen. I saw him tumble into the rainbow-colored heels of the eternal treadmill and penetrate the cloth into the ether.
Maybe you saw the videos too. Ads for High heels! is everywhere in TikTok and in free games applications. Game videos from High heels! also goes viral on TikTok and Twitter. “I found a game for bad animals,” reads one popular TikTok track. ‘You basically walk like a bad bitch on high heels. My ankles could never. ‘The video has been viewed almost 4 million times.
This is indeed the premise of High heels! As you collect heels on the obstacle course, your shoes get higher. This is essential because your shoes must be higher than obstacles to get over. After clearing an obstacle, you are a few inches flat and need to collect more heels to get to the lane, where a circle of fans awaits you.
If you’m still confused, developer Rollic – acquired by the random power station Zynga last year – says in the App Store:

Beware of the walls! The longer your heels are, the easier it will be for you to escape from the walls. There are different obstacles waiting for you on each level! There are tracks where you have to spread your legs out and move, walls to jump, a stick to balance and a big podium waiting for you at the end of the road. Among the dozens of different accessories you can buy in the store, there are buckles, necklaces, puppies in a bag and angel wings. And most importantly, you can find heels with many different models and colors to suit your style!
If you walk on the heels, you will feel like a QUEEN!
Do not forget! You have to choose as many as high heels on the road so that you can walk on a podium!
There are a variety of obstacles to tread on, but my favorite is the split; to make it past, your heels should be long enough to hold you while you cross a gap. The character (in my case knockoff Agent 47, which I unlocked by watching three ads) slaps while sliding.

This is not surprising High heels! has risen and is now a meme. You should check the ratings and reviews of the Apple App Store enough (just under 38,000) outlining the elaborate and hilarious ways in which the game saves lives. Here’s my theory: the game is the perfect amount of very satisfying game and meme content, coupled with a player base that increasingly wants to be acted upon.
It’s also free for Android devices in the Google Play Store. The ads are pretty extravagant, but there is also a paid version.
Rollic’s High heels! may be a short-lived App Store star, but the developer knows how to make a hit. Blob Runner 3D, another game produced by Rollic, is currently # 2 in the App Store.
