Here’s your ‘Destiny 2’ worship of a community event that rewards abundantly

Well, I suppose it is fitting that the enhanced Destiny 2 Dawning Community Event ended on the morning of New Year’s Day, and that players will wake up to see their prize waiting, no matter how much work they have done to raise 1 billion Dawning Spirit gain. .

The reward, of course, is somewhat of a disappointment. I have adjusted my expectations downwards as more prizes have been announced, yet it hurts that there is not even something new or relevant here as the final ‘Overflow’ reward.

So here is the list of prices:

• An Ascendant Shard
• One random piece of exotic armor (I got a 62 stately Verity’s Brow on my Warlock)
• One random weapon (I got a bad cold front)
• 2-3 random old Dawning cosmetics (I have an exotic sparrow and ghost projection)
• One of the ‘joke’ gifts of this year (I got the Guardian Fund)
• The new shadow you claim from the triumph to complete the event (it’s not great)

Sigh.

I mean, basically it’s the whole “Dead Dove, Do not Eat,” I know not what I expect “meme. I knew that no, here probably nothing important would fall if the price fell, and yet I was hoping to be possibly surprised. An exotic catalyst, any exotic catalyst, it was what I really hoped would make all this fuss worth it, but a single shard and a random exotic person is just not going to do it.

The problem is that it sets the standard for future community events, that everyone will assume that the reward will not be worth it, so why do so. This will lead to less participation, more potential from Bungie so we do not fail, and repeat the cycle. Even a mild an interesting price would seem like anything would be possible in future community events like this, but no, just what I would consider the minimum.

I assume it’s not a big deal in the big scheme, and that people like me tackled this event more than Bungie himself had, but I was just hoping for something that would really bring the community together and excite. t it, as they say.

I do find it ironic that the best way to generate Dawning Spirit for this event is to accelerate Legend Lost Sectors where a regular prize is … a random exotic, and here we get a single one of the final prize here. I suppose an Ascendant Shard is always handy for buying a single kiosk, making it exotic, or mastering one legendary armor, but 3-5 I would not have said no because it would not have broken the economy.
