We now know Resident Evil Village will take up 50 GB of space on Xbox consoles.
Although not as weighty as some games – yes, Call of Duty: Warzone and Cold War, I’m watching you – the next highly anticipated installment of the famed horror series nonetheless takes up a significant portion at 50.02GB.
But at least there’s plenty of time to prepare your HDD before the game’s release on May 7th, regardless of your platform, the installation size for both PCs and PS5s will likely be in the same ballpark.
That said, you do have a few options here. The updated list on the Microsoft Store Window reveals that the size of 50.02 GB includes both the main game and the multiplayer mode: Re: Verse, so if it’s just solo spooks you’re looking for, you can get it for a much slimmer 35 GB (thanks, Comic strip).
Re: Verse itself holds about 15 GB and has its own, separate list in the Xbox Store.
This Resident Evil title has caused such a wave of enthusiasm online. This is partly due to the title game of the game, a 9-meter vampire woman: Lady Dimitrescu, and her two daughters. The family actually became so popular Capcom had to issue a statement setting out the character’s official height. She also started appearing in other games due to fans recreating the gothic woman through character adaptation.
