Nintendo’s Indie World team announced in 2020 its list of top-selling indie games for the Nintendo Switch.
Although the list that is not arranged contains details regarding the units sold, it contains popular indie titles such as Hades, Ori And The Will Of The Wisps, en Sakuna: From Rice And Ruin.
Other games that made the list include Strate Of Rage 4, Spirit dangers, Pull, Bait, What is golf?, Shantae and the seven sirens, Super Mega Baseball 3, Superliminal, The Jackbox Party Pack 7, Kentucky Route Zero, Cross code, Bloodstained: curse of the moon 2 and Neon abyss.

Hades also achieved the number 3 place NMEs 20 best games from 2020’s list. with Ewan Wilson praising the game for incorporating players’ death cycles into the narrative: “Dying on a jog is not a failure, but rather opens up more of the story and further develops your character and their relationships”.
The game, which also won the awards for best indie game and best action game during this year’s The Game Awards, recently received its cross-saving update earlier this month. With the update, players can now transfer stored files between the Nintendo Switch and the computer.
Nintendo Of America president Doug Bowser had earlier trampled on rumors of a “pro” version of the Switch. He noted that although the Switch is in its fourth year, ‘we believe we are only in the middle of this life cycle on this platform’.
