As of Tuesday, February 9, California has fully vaccinated approximately 1.7% of its population.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccine board, approximately 7.6 million doses were dispensed, of which 4.9 million were administered. That’s about 1 million vaccinations from last week.

Los Angeles (1.22 million), San Diego (508,287) and Orange (408,645) counties have administered the most doses to date. About 99% of the data is recorded by the country where the patient lives.

In California, 53 of its 58 counties are in the purple level (considered widespread risk), three in the orange level (moderate risk) and two in the red level (substantial risk) according to the state’s four-level coronavirus detection system. Del Norte province is the only country that has changed since the last report – it went from the press to the red level from Tuesday.

On November 24, the state had 41 provinces in purple, 11 provinces in red, four in orange, two in yellow.

Provinces are assigned a level based on statistics that show the speed and spread of the virus within their borders.
