Filed a criminal complaint last month against the organizer of a protest outside their home in Virginia.

Erin Hawley filed the complaint against Patrick Young, an activist and part of the group ShutDownDC, which organized the protest, although Young ABC News said Friday that he has not yet received the complaint.

A police spokesman told ABC News that a local magistrate had found a probable cause to issue a summons to Young. It is not yet known what the probable cause is.

The complaint has been filed in Fairfax County court and will be available to the public after Young receives it.

Young is charged with an offense of illegal protest, after police at the time told ShutDownDC that it was illegal to protest outside the home, ABC reported.

“If a subpoena is issued, it is outrageous that a rich and powerful person – a US senator – could go to their magistrate to get a subpoena to harass a normal person,” Young said.

The rally took place on January 4, two days before the certification of the 2020 Electoral College Congress, against which Josh Hawley announced that he would object.

However, the senator was still in Missouri, so only Erin Hawley and one of their children were in Virginia during the protest.

He shouted the protest on Twitter, saying the protesters were threatening his family. However, the organizer was not charged with threats.

The protesters were present and singing and singing for about 30 minutes, and three of them at one point went to the door to hand over a copy of the Constitution.

The police at the time said they “Didn’t think it was such a big deal.”

The protesters left the house after police arrived and told them that protesting outside the house was illegal.

Erin Hawley said she was ‘scared’ when the protesters were outside and said they were knocking on the door and shouting.
