Hawkeye’s Jeremy Renner shares cute archery training photo with daughter

Jeremy Renner, who will star in the upcoming MCU program Hawkeye, shares a photo of his daughter practicing archery on social media.

Hawkeye‘s Jeremy Renner shared a photo on social media showing his daughter’s archery training. Runner plans to play in Hawkeye, which will premiere at Disney + this year. It will be part of Marvel’s massive slate in 2021, in which the studio will release four films and several television programs. Hawkeye will be the first solo venture for Renner’s character after appearing in five Marvel movies.

Hawkeye has yet to release a release date, but filming is set to begin in New York and give fans a first look at Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, after which Renner’s Hawkeye will pass on the baton. With Steinfeld and Renner joining Vera Farmiga, Alaqua Cox, Brian d’Arcy James and Florence Pugh as her Black widow character Yelena Belova. Details are otherwise scarce about what the show is going to be about, but the comics have some tips for getting Kate Bishop and Clint Barton to work together.

Renner’s daughter, Ava, is not part of the team, but apparently nonetheless. In an image shared on Twitter, Runner showed a funny picture of Ava, who is only seven years old, swinging with a bow, without the arrows, like the character of her father. A photo of Renner’s face is held over her face. Next to the photo of Ava is a photo of Renner holding a bow and arrow for children out of the frame. Renner endorsed the photo, “Another day at the office, “with the bow and arrow emoji, he and other cast members used the show.

The photos are a cute callback to a tragic moment early in Avengers: Endgame. Clint Barton sits outside Avengers: Infinity War, chooses to focus on his family instead. Unaware that his friends are struggling with Thanos, Avengers: Endgame starts with Clint training his daughter in archery. His wife, played by Linda Cardellini, barbecues for the family when Thanos’ snap happens. Clint does not see his family disappearing, but he is severely traumatized by the disappearance of his family.

Although they eventually return thanks to the time robbery that sees the Avengers reunite all the Infinity Stones, Hawkeye will likely investigate the consequences of that trauma. It will also mean that Clint Barton will train Kate Bishop, another daughter-like figure, to take over his role as Hawkeye so he can stay close to his family. Bishop’s presence, along with a slew of other younger heroes, could be a sign of a new generation of heroes who will take on the world’s problems as the original Avengers retire. While Hawkeye is still a way away, it’s probably an important step in the evolution of both Clint Barton and the MCU as a whole.
