Harry Potter RPG Hogwarts Legacy Delays Until 2022

Hogwarts Legacy, the role-playing game in the Harry Potter universe, has been postponed until sometime in 2022. The delay of the game has been announced via a statement on his official Twitter account on Wednesday.

“We want to thank fans from all over the world for the tremendous response to the announcement of Hogwarts Legacy of our Portkey Games label, ”the developer said in a statement. “The best possible experience for all the Wizarding World and game fans is important to us, so we give the game the time it needs.”

Hogwarts Legacy is developed by Avalanche Software, the studio behind the Disney Infinity Games, and published by Portkey Games, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s label for Harry Potter games.

The game will be an action RPG and takes place at the famous school for witchcraft and sorcery that Harry Potter calls home during his adventures in the books. But far from the time of the original book series and the more recent Fantastic Beasts movies, Hogwarts Legacy will take place in the 1800s, giving players a chance to see more of the Wizarding World and discover some history and secrets of the series’ most famous school.

Hogwarts Legacy will be released next year on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
