Harry, Meghan may lose Duke, Duchess of Sussex titles

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are at risk of losing their titles as Duke and Duchess of Sussex for breaching their Megxit deal with Sunday night’s Oprah TV story, according to reports.

Royal court officials met last week to discuss the denial of the couple’s titles and the rupture of the ‘Sandringham Summit’ agreement reached a year ago, regarding the retirement from life as senior royals. sources told The Times of London.

“I do not think there is anything off the table after this interview, to be honest,” one source in the royal household told the British newspaper, referring to the possible deprivation of the couple’s titles.

Such a move would be a big step, the source conceded, emphasizing that it highlights how Queen Elizabeth II was ‘disgusted’ about the ‘circus’ surrounding the Oprah Winfrey special broadcast on CBS at 8pm.

One source told the British newspaper that Harry and Meghan were “playing with fire” with the “very high input” interview.

Another source close to the queen who confirmed the palace’s discussions about the upcoming TV chat insisted that “the titles are out of the question,” the Times stressed.

One source said: “The reaction will depend a lot on it if they go to the institution or the people” in the royal family.

‘If they run after the people, the people will come out swinging. “The institution can strike the blows, the people can not,” the source said.

“The institution is not at war, but the Sussex is at war.”
