Genshin Impact Guide: How to complete Hangouts and get ends
The hangout opportunities are in Genshin Impact will be unlocked once you reach Adventure Rank 26 and after completing ‘Prologue: Act III – Song of the Dragon and Freedom’. You should see it on the event panel once you have met the requirements.
For this particular series, there are four characters (Barbara, Bennett, Chongyun and Noelle). To unlock their respective Hangout event, you need two story keys. Since a story key is provided after completing eight daily assignments, you will not be able to unlock it in one day. If you have saved the story keys, you can at best unlock some of them. Then you have to do additional assignments in subsequent days.
