Jan Warner, 60, told the New York Post in an interview published Saturday that she had to shut down ‘Jan’s Barn’ in 2017 after the landlord demanded an annual rent in advance.

Warner suggested that her wealthy neighbors might dismiss her by saying, “I think Alec and Hilaria do not like the fact that I did not have this impeccable, perfect place.”
Warner said she paid $ 2,000 a month rent for the stalls in Amagansett through a handshake deal with landlord Job Potter. But in 2017, Potter suddenly asked for a year’s rent in advance, Warner said.

Warner had known Granfield before, because Warner had allowed her to stable her horses and give horseback riding there.
“The two of them are really tight and both are a wonderful toit,” Warner said of Granfield and Hilaria, saying Granfield was a regular guest of the Baldwins and boasted that he had the ‘best rosé’ with the couple. .
Warner and her friends call Granfield ‘Equine Barbie’ and claim her knowledge of horses is inferior to that of Warner.
