Halo 3 received its last official new card in 2009, as part of the Mythic II Map Pack release. Now, 343 Industries has announced a new card, introduced for the first time in Halo Online, will be added to the next round Master Head Collection beta testing.

In a blog post released today Halo Waypoint, 343 announced a new round of flights for the Master Head Collection. Flight is a series of limited beta tests for certain players. This is how 343 test new, upcoming features and changes. 343 says that the new round of beta testing, which will include the new Halo 3-card, can start as early as February 18th.

This new card is coming out Halo Online, a new online twist on Halo developed by Saber Interactive building with a customized version of the Halo 3 engine. Only released in Russia in 2015 via a closed beta and no longer updated fans trying to mod Halo Online and make it playable worldwide, but Microsoft pushed back against these efforts. Many fans also asked to bring Halo Online cards in MCCand now 343 did it.

Based on a screenshot taken in the report, the new map looks like a human military base in some icy glaciers. While 343 says it will be “a new card for Halo 3 from Halo Online” Halo Online cards, it does not quite match any of the cards that appeared in the shutter game. It also does not quite look like one of the so-called canceled cards never added Halo Online before it is turned off. But, the URL for the screenshot included in the blog post calls the name “Waterfall,” which has been canceled Halo Online map which contains an icy concept art. Yet, what card it actually is remains a mystery. But getting a new card for one of the best shooters ever made is exciting.

There’s more to be excited about with this upcoming MCC Update. The Master Head Collection get a proper server browser. Consideration of how much content is packed MCC, it can be difficult to find a specific match using the basic match tools. Being able to browse a list of servers around people who play Lockout Swords 24 hours a day in the morning sounds perfect.

I’m also glad that the FOV slider on Xbox Series X will soon be working in 120Hz mode, and that FOV sliders will be added to all Xbox versions of the game. FOV slides for everyone!
