Unfortunately (or fortunately for Shelton and Stefani, who have been together since 2015 and got engaged in October last year), Levine uses a mocking cellular network in the ad, so what Adam hears Stefani say is very different. “I’m sick of LA guys, I want someone completely … a country,” Levine hears her say as she cuts in and cuts out service. “Uncultivated … and threatened by a strong confident woman.” Shelton quickly steps into the frame and sings about his love of wings and nachos; “I have your guy,” Levine says.
