(CNN Español) – This morning, in full session, the Ecuadorian National Electoral Council announced the official results of the February 7 presidential election, after analyzing all the complaints made. In agreement with the results, Guillermo Lasso stepped into the second round with Andrés Arauz.
Arauz, of the Union Party for Esperanza, won 32.72% of the vote, following official results. Lasso, of the CREO PSC Political Alliance, with 19.74% of the vote. In third place in the elections of Ecuador quedo Yaku Pérez, of the Movement of the Pachakutik Multilateral Union, with 19.39% of the votes.
In agreement with these results, the second will be presented on April 11 and will be contested between the candidates Andrés Arauz and Guillermo Lasso.
