GTA Online player recovers terrible game load times and gets $ 10,000

Today’s GTA Online update is short, sweet and contains a “thank you” to a player named t0st. Rockstar also awarded the best with $ 10,000. The reason for this reward? After signing up to try out the latest heels, he gets so frustrated by the loading time that he tries to find a solution to one of the game’s most enduring problems.

The full notes can be found on Rockstar’s support website, along with previous updates.

Improvements to computer load times * Thanks to t0st for his contributions around this part of today’s title update

This solution may seem small, but it is a great improvement for the GTA Online experience. The charging time for Los Santos was notorious. When you are ready to commit a crime, you take the wind out of your sails as you sit for six full minutes and watch the loading screen.

From the update of T0st, it appears that his loading time was cut by 70% on his test tube, and he made his findings known to the public. Rockstar confirmed that the solution was legitimate for PC Gamer, adding: “After a thorough investigation, we can confirm that the player first revealed an aspect of the game code related to download times for the PC version of GTA Online that can be improved. ”

The $ 10,000 reward comes from a Bug Bounty program, which rewards players who discover privacy or security issues in Rockstar’s games. This is the first time that the Bug Bounty pays out for someone who discovers a technical issue.
