GTA 6 Preview Possible Tease by Rockstar Job Listing

Rockstar may be getting ready to sharpen the marketing of GTA 6 or the next-generation port of GTA V, as the developer hires someone to record the game’s footage.

It looks like a new Rockstar listing may indicate that the company is ready to unveil GTA 6. Many fans hoped that the long-awaited follow-up to GTA 5 is just around the corner and follows Red Dead Redemption 2s release and it seems like it could happen soon.

It’s been more than 7 years since the release of GTA 5 on Xbox 360 and PS3, and while it may seem long, the game has kept fresh so far. Following a wealth of content updates, a PC and Xbox One / PS4 port, and all sorts of new innovations in the game’s ever-popular online mode, many people have wondered if Rockstar ever wants to walk away from GTA 5. After all, why would the developer spend a lot of money on a new game if the last one still has a lot of life left? That said, given how many fans are eagerly awaiting the title, GTA 6 can far surpass the profits of its predecessor.

With that said, Rockstar is hiring someone to come on board as a “Cinematic Gameplay Capture Artist” (via DualShockers). This position is basically the person who will record all the footage seen in trailers and make it as cinematic as possible. Since Rockstar has the skill of making trailers, it would in fact amount to a movie director in the game. This allows the studio to use exceptional footage in the trailer, rather than making CG trailers or using conceptual footage, which means that what the studio shows in marketing will be fairly close to the final product.

GTA 5 True Ending

The fact that Rockstar is hiring for this role probably means that the studio is on the verge of boosting marketing. It can be GTA 6 or it can just be new footage for GTA 5’s port, which is expected to feature new, exclusive content for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. Either way, it seems like Rockstar is getting ready to showcase something in the coming weeks or months, and that in itself is exciting nonetheless.

It’s unclear what this project is going to be, so fans should not get too excited about it GTA 6 too soon. If it is GTA 6, it is likely to leave rumors or confirm rumors, such as the inclusion of a female lead. Given the way Rockstar works, it’s probably also just a preview and the game will actually not be released for a year or two. After all, the studio has an unfortunate habit of postponing its games after they are announced.
