Grimes revealed that she contracted the novel coronavirus.

The 32-year-old singer casually made the announcement in her Instagram Stories, where she joked that she was ‘enjoying her sick time’ strangely.

In her post, any update is missing as to whether her partner Elon Musk (49) or their baby son X Æ A-Xii, eight months old, was infected.

Grimes’ case of the virus appears to be relatively mild based on her low-key statement.

“Eventually, COVID became, but in a strange way, enjoyed the DayQuil fever dream in 2021,” she wrote a caption of her post, adding a plant and fairy emoji.

The singer included a screenshot of the single artwork for SZA’s new song Good Days, which was released on Christmas and which looks like it’s the electronic musician’s recovery.

“This song is soooo …” she wrote before leaving with the planet and star, heart and dragon emojis.

The Canadian singer, real name Claire Boucher, is embarking on a new period of activity after releasing an updated version of her most recent album, Miss Anthropocene, on New Year’s Day.

The ‘Rave Edition’ is equipped with more club-friendly remixes of most tracks, apart from two tracks that already fit into their original incarnations.

The original version of the highly acclaimed album dropped in February 2020 after Grimes worked on it for two years.

Grimes and her partner, Elon Musk, dated in 2018 after tying up over a shared joke on Twitter.

She and the Tesla CEO welcome their first child, with the abstract name X Æ A-Xii, in May 2020.

Musk has come under fire on social media in recent months for some of his recent socially-conservative posts, particularly regarding online censorship and transgender rights.

“I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an aesthetic nightmare,” he complained on Twitter on December 16 in response to a critical opinion about him.

The message led to the businessman being mercilessly mocked on Twitter by users who pointed out that his child’s name could also qualify as an ‘aesthetic nightmare’.

“You named your child x æ a-12 and you want to call PRONOUNS an aesthetic nightmare ????” wrote one user.

Another joked that ‘elon muskus named his baby X Æ A-12, but people with pronouns are where he draws the line. ‘

The founder of SpaceX recently saw his fortune expand to the point of dropping Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon, as the richest man in the world.

Musk currently sits at the top of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index with a total net worth of $ 209 billion, while Bezos is the second richest with $ 186 billion and Bill Gates the third with $ 134 billion.
