The Swedish activist has been known for her sarcasm and humor since she came on the world stage at the age of 15, so it’s no surprise that she would have some fun with her birthday message on the same note.
“Thank you so much for all the wishes on my 18th birthday!” she said. “Tonight you will find me in the local bar quitting all the dark secrets behind the conspiracy of climate and schools, and my evil handlers who can no longer control me! I am finally free !!”
In addition to Thunberg’s climate activism, she used her platform to be philanthropic. She won the first Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity and donated a portion of the $ 1.14 million prize to the fight against coronavirus in the Brazilian Amazon. She also donated $ 100,000 from another prize received from the Human Act to the United Nations Children’s Fund to help children affected by Covid-19.
