Grand Theft Auto 6 leak got GTA fans excited, but is it fake?

A new Grand Theft Auto 6 and Rockstar Games leaked GTA fans excited, but it unfortunately smells like a fake. However, this did not stop the round within the Big theft Automatic community and is picked up by many as a real lick. As for the leak itself, it comes the way of a music producer and Twitter user named Chiko Kan, who recently shared an email reportedly from Richard Barnes, head of international communications at Rockstar Games.

In the email, Barnes Kan invites to help compose music with Rockstar Games for the evolving ‘upcoming projects in 2021’, one of which will be ‘BIG’. The alleged email does not reveal much more of comment and it does not refer to any IP, but the general assumption is that the “BIG” project refers to GTA 6.

Below you can visit the e-mail yourself:

If this leak is legal, also suggest it GTA 6 will be announced or even released this year, although we know that the latter is practically impossible at this stage for various reasons. Again, this could be for something related to GTA Online or something completely brand new, but the safe bet is that BIG is a reference GTA 6.

That being said, it looks fake. First, the color of the text between the second and third paragraphs is not even the same color. It’s a fairly large red flag, but it’s not the only red flag. The other red flag is the fact that Barnes left Rockstar Games in 2019. None of these red flags in themselves were one hundred percent and reduce the leakage completely, but collectively they come as close to unraveling it definitively as you can get.

If the email is real and relatively new, Kan probably has not yet gone through the NDA process, and therefore he can share it on Twitter. However, this may not be new, as Barnes has not been to Rockstar Games since 2019.

There are a lot of holes in this leak, but it can not make the rounds. At the time of publication, Kan has not yet responded to criticism of the leak and Rockstar Games has not commented on the situation in any capacity. As a result, GTA fans put nothing but speculation and an email with questionable appearance.
