Grafton neighbors respond to arrest of pharmacist accused of destroying dose of COVID-19 vaccine

GRAFTON, Wis. Neighbors pronounced him as a Grafton pharmacist staying in jail tonight on allegations that he could have deliberately spoiled hundreds of doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

TMJ4 News does not name him because he was not formally charged.

‘I just saw some of the police surround the house. They were here for a long time, ‘said Drew Windsor, a neighbor, who saw police in the area when the pharmacist was arrested.

The quiet Grafton area is in the national spotlight after police arrested one of the homeowners.

The man is accused of deliberately destroying dozens of vials with the COVID-19 vaccine Moderna.

‘Shocking. To put it in one word. Shocking, ”said Timothy Skow, another neighbor.

Skow lives a few doors from the neighbor who previously worked as a pharmacist at Advocate Aurora Hospital in Grafton. Aurora fired him after police said he intentionally tampered with 600 doses of Moderna covid-19 doses by leaving them cool and thus rendering them useless.

He is currently in Ozaukee County Jail on three separate charges.

‘For something like that and the vaccines. It is a pity, “said Windsor.

TMJ4 News is going to the pharmacist’s house hoping to talk to someone else who may live with him, but no one answers at his door.

Despite a previously cordial relationship, Skow now has very strong feelings about his neighbor and the crimes he is accused of.

‘You’re a pharmacist, you know what this pandemic can do to people. “I hope you sit in a cell and spend the rest of your life there,” Skow said.

The charges against the former pharmacist include first-degree reckless endangerment, counterfeit prescription drugs and criminal property damage.

TMJ4 News reached out to Grafton Police today for an update on the case, but did not hear about it.

The charges against the pharmacist are expected to decrease next week.
