Colo. (KRDO) – Governor Jared Polis issued a statement Wednesday night saying he is asking the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to move all provinces on Level Red on the turn button to Level Orange. If approved, it will take effect on Monday, January 4, 2021.

Government Police said after reviewing the data, he saw that Colorado has been steadily deteriorating for 13 days and that only 73% of ICU beds across the country are used.

He thanks Coloradans for trying and protecting themselves and others. The governor encourages people to continue the security mentality through the new year, to help prevent another blockade.

This change only applies to provinces currently in Red, which include the province of El Paso and Pueblo.
