Gotham Knights postponed until 2022

Gotham Knights, the upcoming title by Warner Bros. Games Montreal, was delayed until 2022, the company announced today. In a statement posted on Twitter, the development team explained that it “wants to give the game more time to deliver the best player experience.”

Although not mentioned directly, the delay is likely to be COVID-related, as studios are still adjusting to work from home. This is the second expected title from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, which will be launched next year, following the announcement in January that Avalanche Software’s Hogwarts Legacy will not make it to its 2021 release window.

Announced in August at the DC FanDome event, Gotham Knights is an open world action RPG starring Batman and some supporting characters like Batgirl and Robin. Although no fixed release date has been announced yet, Gotham Knights is released on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One.
