Gorilla Glue said it was very unfortunate to hear about the situation of Tessica Brown, who went viral after posting about how she accidentally used the company’s syringe to secure her hairstyle.
In her original TikTok, which has been viewed nearly 20 million times, Brown tells us that she used the Gorilla Glue product to finish off her ponytail after her usual hairspray runs out. This decision tragically led to a month-long attempt to undo the damage, and many sympathizers followed her journey.
In a follow-up TikTok, Brown rubs shampoo powerfully into her hair without benefiting. “This is the life I have to live,” she says almost in tears. And over the weekend, Brown told followers she was going to a hospital for help.

Gorilla Glue released a statement Monday acknowledging Brown’s plight.
“We are very sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident that Miss Brown experienced using our Spray Adhesive on her hair,” the company wrote on Twitter. “We are pleased to see in her recent video that Miss Brown has received medical treatment from her local medical facility and wish her all the best.”
Brown did not immediately respond to a request for comment from BuzzFeed News. A GoFundMe campaign she launched Sunday raised more than $ 10,000, far more than a $ 1,500 goal.
However, many people online encourage Gorilla Glue to do more for Brown in good faith.
