According to a new report from an unnamed source, Google’s next Pixel smartphone will be the Pixel 5a. It is to be announced on June 11th.
The Pixel 4a was only officially launched in August last year, and it looks like the sequel will be out the gate faster. Then the launch of the 4a was repeatedly delayed (according to rumors), the same hopefully will not happen this year.
The Pixel 5a’s hole punch from the selfie camera is said to be smaller than that of its predecessor, while being found in roughly the same left-hand spot at the top of the screen.
On the other hand, the Pixel 6, which is expected later this year, probably looks like a centered punch for its selfie camera, a la Samsung’s flagships of the past few years (and its recent middle class). Not only that, but the Pixel 6 can record 4K selfie videos.
